Health & Safety Support Contract

Regulations require employers to appoint someone to act as a ‘Competent’ person for Health & Safety to act for their business and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and protect themselves from serious accident and insurance claims.

An insurer will assume that a compliant H&S regime is in place and that a qualified competent person has been appointed.

In the event of a claim, the absence of a competent person with the relevant qualifications may well invalidate your company’s insurance cover with potentially catastrophic results for the company, owners and managerial staff at all levels.

For many companies the appointment of a dedicated H&S Adviser from within their organisation is just not viable as many businesses don’t have a sufficiently qualified member of staff and employing someone full time is too expensive.

We at Chase SDS provide a contracted-out solution to provide a fully qualified individual at a fraction of the cost of a full time adviser.
